Today we headed out for Amelia Island, not far from St. Augustine. It is a pretty little island with quaint towns, beaches and a fort. Our first stop was Fort Clinch
We also stopped in Fernandina City.
The town had lots of beautiful old homes.
We also found Fernandina Beach...
and lots of birds.
We saw lots of Spanish Moss
(and an egret in a tree).
We caught a glimpse of the Amelia Island Lighthouse. This is the oldest existing lighthouse in Florida, built in 1838.
